Kohnらによる一連の職業とパーソナリティー研究。職業が個人のパーソナリティどう形成するのか。現在は中国における調査研究の成果の一部である。中国都市部の場合、職業がそれなりに重要なようである。
改革開放以降の社会変動や経済発展が何かしらの背景要因になっているのだろうか。今後は他のアジア社会との比較が行われていくと面白そうである。
